Stage 2: Bridges to Bishops Castle

The Shropshire Way from Bridges to Bishop’s Castle will take you along paths and lanes travelled for thousands of years. This stage of the route is distinguished by rugged moorland and rough pastures providing panoramic views of the renowned Shropshire Hills.

Please note that the way deviates slightly from the OS map at Ridge Farm SO 355953. The fingerpost directs walkers through a gate about 50 yards from the map route. The gpx file matches the route on the ground.

You are strongly advised to take an OS map and/or a GPS to walk the route. Please note the digital OS maps will show the new Main Route from January 2019.
